Trying to decide what to do about therapy right now is a losing game:
1. Try to suss out a new therapist through teleconferencing. Feel awkward and pressured to be 100% on and maintain consistent direct face to face screen contact, while at home where privacy isn't guaranteed.
2. Go in person and either purposely avoid discussing anything that might cause crying, or end up treating masks like the world's grossest lazy handkerchief.
@erinbee you could always just go in person and cry
@Mainebot That's what I'm leaning towards, but I'm concerned about being a heavy breathing snotty mess. Might have to shop around and see what everyone's COVID protocols are right now.
@erinbee it’s tough! I tried out one new therapist who wasn’t a fit, and he recommended someone else. And the privacy bit is real. I’ve got a narrow window when I’m home during the day and my kids aren’t here.
