There's a local company doing a wild food delivery box and I don't need all the mushrooms in it, but now I'm intensely salivating over the idea of some steamed sea asparagus and the only other way I can think of to get some is to wait in the round-the-block queue to get into the Farmer's Market.
Alcohol mention, feeling feelings
It rained a little this evening, and fuck do I miss being in a pub on a rainy night with warm low lights and comradery and stepping outside under the street lights and the rain has stopped? One of many things not happening this fall, and I'm sitting with that small low disappointment.
The best thing about using three strands of floss on 14 count cloth is that when the stitches start to fill in and press against each other, they become like fat little squares and that's great for this pattern because along with these colours it's getting an old mosaic look. #CrossStitch
Things are zipping along, but this section has a lot of switching between two different shades of dark blue thread to make a diamond pattern on the gown and now I'm trying to decide how break it up and add easy to see reference/tracking points by doing the gold accents first. (Also it's nearly 5 am, I haven't been to sleep yet, and I'm just not going to strain my eyes with "Very Dark Navy Blue" which you can see is the very very dark line on the right.) #CrossStitch

Food, surrealism, body horror
I had forgotten about the KFC and Crocs collab until a bunch of pics of them started showing up on Instagram this week, and thousands of people choosing to make their feet look and smell like fried chicken while becoming increasingly socially isolated sounds like the plot of a very uncomfortable short film
It's not an ocean beach, but being outside with sand and water earlier this week was still restorative. #FineFemmeFriday
Shelves of Life - a bookshelf that reassembles to become a coffin
"These shelves are designed to last you a lifetime. The wood will colour, the surfaces will mark and stain and over the years and the furniture will become a part of you.
When you die, the shelves can be taken apart and reassembled as a coffin. The brass plate under the bottom shelf, that tells the story about this transformation, is then flipped over and your dates inscribed on it."
Going for it with the catacomb saint/jeweled skeleton queen pattern by Night Spirit Studio. It's within the realm of possibility that it may be finished by Halloween. #CrossStitch
